The aim of the project is to carry out the theoretical investigations for propagation | and scattering of ultra-wide-band video pulse signals within the upper layers of the earth which are highly lossy and dispersive. These investigations are necessary both for, correct posing of the problem of efficient video pulse ground penetrating radar design and for trustworthy treatment of the results of ground probing. Mathematical and electromagnetic methods that are supposed to be used for solving key project problems are based on the original results of the authors, who have a long-standing experience and a high level of knowledge concerning direct and inverse problems of mathematical physics.
